One night a man had come out for a walk. Suddenly three or four strong men appeared out of the darkness, seized and took him away. When the cloth that had been blindfolding him was taken off, he found himself in an underground cellar. The men were armed with swords and guns. The captured man said to them:
“You’ve taken the wrong man. I haven’t committed a crime; I’m only an ordinary person.”
That the way he told them had not been a joke was evidenced in their manners. The man thought: Are these men in their right senses? If I struggle and try to escape out of their hands, it might just be working up their anger. I don’t want to die ye and want to go home well. Oh, if they get angry and kill me. .. .”
“We want you to do something-nothing difficult. As soon as you finish doing that well we’ll let you go.”
One of them said.
He nodded.
“All right all right . . . what can I do for you? I’ll do whatever you want me to.”
He had but to give a reply like that, if any other man got into a situation likes this; that man will have nothing but to do the same. When he got home and told his family and friends about this experience, they would, everyone would pity and sympathies with him.
“Right . . . here, press this button.”
With a smile, the man pressed the button on the wall. That was all only one thing that he did for them.
As they had promised, they let him go home.
Left to themselves, the men sat talking.
“Ha! Good grief! We have not had enough courage to press that button; our fingers have been shaking so that button will start up the missile that will fire the third world war without any provocation or prior intimation. I am saying the truth, am I not, chief of our military group?
